Gym Equipment Weights

Work stations and free weights are a common feature of every gym. Today a fitness freak is spoilt for choice, but you cannot work on every station everyday. What you need to do is plan a workout regimen which will possibly has an impact on the muscle of the arms and legs and this should be followed by cardio exercises.

Many like to work on their arms and legs on alternate days. Others with limited days try all the workouts on the same day either at home or at the gym. Before you start, decide whether you would be using free weights or weight machines. What you could do is choose machines for some exercises and free weights for others. Many do this because some of the exercises are safer on the machine instead of on free weights. This helps when there is no one to guide you and attempting excess weight alone could turn drastic for your body.

Although all major gyms are well-equipped with free weights, it must be done only in the presence of a spotter. However getting a spotter may be difficult as many are not very fond of spotting for others and are possessive about working out on their stations. Using free weights at a busy gym becomes a problem as it is frequented by regulars. So if you are skipping out free weights workout well on the machines. Another option would be to avoid peak hours provided you have a choice to do so. If you have to choose a machine, there is no dearth of available options as every gym has French curl, Squat, rowing, military press, lat machine, bench press, calf raise, knee press, leg curl etc. When you workout on a majority of these machines in a short period of time you body gets toned better.

Always do cardio exercises before doing weight workouts, as this prevents injuries. Combining both will help you loss weight and attain a well-toned and conditioned body, to get optimum results try using both.

Different gyms function differently, with each being good at serving different groups of muscle. Gyms also have a diagram installed explaining the functionality of every machine. If you are still apprehensive then consult the attendant for assistance or watch how others use it before you try the equipment.

Each member at the gym has equal right to use the facility, don’t get intimidated by the sophisticated equipments at the gym. Instead, take full advantage of the facilities provided by the gym.
