Tell potential customers about the terms of sale and also allow them to come and preview the equipment beforehand, especially if you will auction them.

However, should you decide not to use all of the above methods, you can take the initiative of calling other smaller and upcoming companies that you think would be interested in buying. You can also hire an agent to dispose off the equipment at a commission, of course. Or better still, approach a second hand equipments dealer and talk them into stocking your items for a price for certain duration of time.
